Breathtaking and incredibly rare Chloé Paris ivory satin party dress dating back to the mid 1950's. Chloé was started in 1952 by Jacques Lenoir and Gaby Aghion. Their vision of luxury prêt-à-porter helped the house create wearable yet couture quality garments for the chic young woman. The entire garment is fashioned from the highest quality large-scale black floral pattern chantilly-lace on ivory satin. The hand-assembled interior shows the true amount of devotion put into this beauty. I love the thin-strap scalloped bodice which flows into a dramatic cummerbund bow-trimmed nipped waist, all in a unique shade of olive green. The sculpted full skirting certainly captures the playful elegance of fifties design. A rare slice of French fashion history.
