The G-Shock GA-2100MNG series is inspired by the art of Japanese manga and features an illustrated comic book style. The printed black lines outlining sections of the bezel, band, and dial have a hand-drawn look, and parts of the bezel and band also have dotted screentone patterns that give the impression of a printed comic. This is a new and striking style for an official GA-2100 release, but similar styles have been seen before on a modded G-Shock GA-2100 from Shaka Builds in 2022 and with another brand on the D1 Milano Polycarbon Sketch from 2023. (The Yu Nagaba and Beams DW-5600 collaboration from 2018 also had a similar aesthetic.) The subdial indicator is made in the shape of a speech balloon, and the stainless steel case back is engraved with the sound effect character for “boom!” The series includes the blue GA-2100MNG-2AJR and the white GA-2100MNG-7AJR, which come with exclusive manga-themed cardboard packaging.
